LOL! So I decided... I should learn to swim right~ LOL! Guess where I'm learning to swim from? HAHAHA...

Funny right? I'm going to put to practice what I've learnt tonight tomorrow! HAHAHA!

I can't help but think... How it's been 4 months since I finished school and am still at home, not out there working... People tried to encourage me saying that it's the job market out there that is quite terrible. Some tried to help me by encouraging me to apply for jobs in certain areas. And trust me, I've really put in deep thought into it. Some were the connection bridges that landed me for certain interviews. Some others encouraged me like mad telling me how wonderful I am and how great Daddy God is that He will bring to past my dream and vision. Others spend time with me while they can. But yet, I still can't help but to think... How broke I really am.

Firstly, I made a decision to go to HK with my cousin and niece in Dec. Which is great 'cos I've been crying out loud for an overseas trip this entire year! I wanted a "graduation" trip. I wanted to travel with my parents, really. But, things just don't really work out. Well, going overseas is really expensive man. I've just did up the sums a bit and my flight and my stay in HK is now $580+.. And that's not really including another three nights stay which makes me wonder HOW! I'm not regretting my choice la, but I'm just curious how I'm going to manage there, you see.

Next, I recently bought a MacBook Pro which cost $1400. And thus landed me a debt of $1400... And my creditor? My mom. I know what's on your minds right now. That it's ok since it's my mom, etc. BUT it really makes me feel bad and kinda useless considering how *UGH* i've been wasting my time and money away. With the trip, I owe her $1800 now. Not a lot, i know. BUT i seriously need to start working...

I know I should never settle for the second best. But it's like I cannot make the sense out of my life. I decided on one thing, then, another opportunity comes and I'm thrown into the decision making process and I make the next decision which doesn't follow through the first decision that I make and I'm like HELLO, PS?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

I applied for teaching at A and they didn't call me... I applied to be a youth worker at B and no news too.. So I decided... Maybe I should go into adventure training... So I applied to be a training executive at C.. And I went for the first interview, took note of the things the interviewer said to me and waited... The next week, I got a call for the second interview and I said I could make it on Wednesday and they said they will email me the details.. But today is wednesday and I don't have any email! NVM... Before that, I thought maybe I should continue looking into camps so I applied for D and E. And in the meantime, I was wondering... MAYBE... a temp job would help.. so I applied for F. and F called on the day I applied, and we discussed and I said ok, I should be able to! and the very next day, I changed my mind cos I applied for D and E, u see. SERIOUSLY, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?! But yet, I got a chance to go for interviews at D and E. I went for D's interview and they asked if i'm keen to do another position. But they were very nice cos they kept calling even today to say that they wanna give me an opportunity to go for an interview at their sister company. BUT... I DON'T KNOW! WHY ON EARTH DID I WANT SOMETHING SO BADLY AND IN THE END NOT WANT IT ANY MORE! Similarly, I called E after my interview with D to say I will go for the interview yesterday only to not go for it. Flicker minded, I know...

Today, I decided, ok... Enough is enough, I'm going to just go for analyst roles and be it temp or full time, I will just go into it first. AND A called! TELL ME, WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?! Cos I already started applying for temp jobs.. *rolls eyes* at my life.. I need a breakthrough like now! LOL! Makes me wonder if I will think so much when I get into a relationship..

Needing a Breakthrough,

Your iPersonic Type: The Spontaneous Idealist

Spontaneous Idealists are creative, lively and open-minded persons. They are humorous and dispose of a contagious zest for life. Their enthusiasm and sparkling energy inspires others and sweeps them along. They enjoy being together with other people and often have an uncanny intuition for their motivations and potential. Spontaneous Idealists are masters of communication and very amusing and gifted entertainers. Fun and variety are guaranteed when they are around. However, they are sometimes somewhat too impulsive in dealing with others and can hurt people without really meaning to do so, due to their direct and sometimes critical nature.

This personality type is a keen and alert observer; they miss nothing which is going on around them. In extreme cases, they tend to be oversensitive and exaggeratedly alert and are inwardly always ready to jump. Life for them is an exciting drama full of emotionality. However, they quickly become bored when things repeat themselves and too much detailed work and care is required. Their creativity, their imaginativeness and their originality become most noticeable when developing new projects and ideas - they then leave the meticulous implementation of the whole to others. On the whole, Spontaneous Idealists attach great value to their inner and outward independence and do not like accepting a subordinate role. They therefore have problems with hierarchies and authorities.

As a Spontaneous Idealist you are one of the extroverted personality types. You enjoy working in a colorfully diverse group of people who interest and inspire you. Working in a “secluded room” is not your thing. Your sense for the motivation of others is almost eerie. You constantly observe that which happens around you and have no problems noticing all sorts of things simultaneously or communicating with several people at the same time.

Your enthusiasm is contagious to others and that is why your colleagues and friends all appreciate you as an important member of your team. Your articulateness and your sensitive ear for nuances in conversations with others obviously play a role. For you, this team-oriented environment is very important because you need to receive positive feedback and recognition like other people need air to breathe. It would be practically impossible for you to contribute everything you need to maintain your high ideals, by yourself.

Variety, challenges and fun are important ingredients of your area of responsibility. You appreciate receiving new stimulation, meeting new people, and continuously collecting unique experiences. However, too much routine, too much detail work and the necessity to stick with one project for a very long time is not your thing. Your strength are creative problem solutions, discovering new ways and opportunities, the conceptualization of new ideas on one hand, but not so much their concrete implementation on the other. Ideally, you have a staff of capable colleagues that takes over your concepts and runs with them.

Your working environment should be chosen to continuously offer new developments that you can then deal with and by which you can measure yourself. Once you figure out at that a profession can only offer you limited professional and personal self-improvement alternatives you would probably become very unhappy. Particularly for people of your type it is worthwhile to once in a while consider a radical change in your profession. You will be able to deal with the associated demands without a problem as long as your curiosity and need for self-development are satisfied at the same time.

Welcome, pearly sim, to the New World of Work!

The workplace is now a very different place to even 10 years ago. It's called the New World of Work (aka the new economy and the knowledge age) and has serious implications for your career!

As management guru Tom Peters said recently over ninety percent of jobs will disappear over the next decade, or be reconfigured beyond recognition.

Developing a career that can withstand the constant change you will encounter is the key issue facing workers, like you, in the New World of Work!

pearly sim, your FPYC Personal Profile below consists of the following five sections:
1. Your Temperament Type
2. Your Dominant Intelligences and Dominant Abilities
3. Your 3 Fields of Work
4. Your Knowledge Worker Status
5. Your Knowledge Age Skills

These sections are all laid out below on this page...

1. Your FPYC Temperament Type

More than anything else, understanding of your personality type is the key to your career satisfaction and success in the New World of Work.

If intelligences and abilities guide the field of work, or profession, that you work in, your temperament type is about finding the best type of work for you within each profession.

The FPYC Temperament Type methodology is the modern day progression of a tradition of personality analysis that stretches back to the famous Swiss psychologist Carl Jung.

Your FPYC Temperament Type is defined by the four letter combination: ESFU

First and foremost you are an outgoing person who thrives in situations where there is plenty of action. Things seem to happen when you are around. You definitely do not like the ordinary and mundane. You have little time for theories and you like to get the most out of every minute.

You would work best in situations that take advantage of your gregarious nature and where you can build trust and rapport with others.

Your focus on the present and the practical can sometimes blind you to the many options that you have for your career.

You naturally seek high-energy action packed situations rather than being a thoughtful and reflective type. This suggests that you would work best dealing directly with other people in face to face situations.

You are not comfortable working in a formal, structured environment and you can find rules and regulations irksome.

You can be seen as someone who is slow in making decisions as you seek further clarification and understanding.

This can lead to procrastination, which you need to guard against.

Does this sound like you?

If this content sums up aspects of your personality, you can explore these issues in greater depth in your personalized copy of Authentic Direction: How to Find Your Life's Purpose and Ideal Career.

An entire chapter is devoted to your FPYC Temperament Type. You'll find out the types of work situations you are best suited to, as well as the types of situations that you should avoid.

"Your book came at exactly the right time for me and helped me clarify the direction I am headed. I had an idea about what I should be doing, but your system 'cleaned my lenses' and brought my vision into sharper focus. What was previously a murky view is now cystal clear!"

- Dayle Lindsay, Canada

2. Your Dominant Intelligences and Dominant Abilities

In the New World of Work it is dangerous to define your work by the tasks that make up your job description.

If those tasks are no longer required when things change (as they inevitably will) then YOU may no longer be required.

To future proof your career, you need to understand yourself as a person with certain basic strengths that can be utilized in many different ways in many different situations.

This is why talent is one of the key concepts that you need to base your future career around.

In a rapidly-changing environment, an employer - rather than worrying about formal qualifications - is more likely to want someone who has demonstrated certain talents.

For example you are a person who has a good head for numbersis good at fixing things and takes good advantage of your physical attributes in your work.

These talents, and others, are a crucial part of what you have to offer any employer, and to the way your career will unfold in the future.

Modern psychological theory suggests there are at least eight separate human intelligences, and we have broken these intelligences down into 20 separate human abilities.

Applying this theory to you reveals the following three Dominant intelligences and six Dominant Abilities.

YOUR DOMINANT INTELLIGENCES: Logical Mathematical, Musical and Bodily Kinesthetic.
YOUR DOMINANT ABILITIES: Mathematical, Technical Mechanical, Physical, Caring and Serving, Musical and Self Awareness.

How can you package these intelligences and abilites for maximum benefit in your future career? Is the area you currently work in, or are considering working in, an area where you can use your strengths. If not you may need to consider your options.

By centering your career - in terms of the field of work you concentrate on - around your dominant intelligences and abilities, you stand the greatest chance of success.

A full discussion of your eight intelligences and 20 abilities

The largest chapter of Authentic Direction: How to Find Your Life's Purpose and Ideal Career covers the FPYC Intelligences and Abilities Analysis. This deals with the implications for your future career of each of the eight intelligences and 20 abilities and how you can use your talents to get ahead in the New World of Work.

Every intelligence and ability is dealt with separately (a total of 28 personalized articles) with an individualized discussion on how you can make the best use of your strengths, at the same time as minimizing the effect of your weaknesses.

I was very impressed with the personalized book. Even from the little I have really had time to read, I have gained much more insight to myself and what moves me, inspires me, and what direction I want to go in. I could go on for awhile, but I have no time. Do you have any other work out? Interestingly I have been thinking about several of the options which came up in my WorkMatch, although I am not sure about my ideal career being here. Thanks!

4. Your Knowledge Worker Status

The trouble with most career planning these days is that it is still based on thinking from the “old economy” of the Industrial Age.

Career thinking in the New World of Work starts by considering your status as a Knowledge Worker and your readiness to do knowledge work.

You are a Level 1 Knowledge Worker

The first piece of good news is that you have many attributes required to succeed in the workplace of the knowledge age. According to the FPYC Knowledge Worker Index, which uses a complex formula that draws on 32 of the 86 questions from the FPYC Questionnaire, you are a Level 1 Knowledge Worker.

Since the guru of management gurus Peter Drucker coined the term over 40 years ago, there has been a lot of conjecture about what actually constitutes a knowledge worker.

Our definition of knowledge worker is much more useful than most, and includes three separate levels of workers: Industrial Workers, Level 1 Knowledge Workers and Level 2 Knowledge Workers.

On one hand career prospects for Level 1 Knowledge Workers, like you, are very bright, because in many respects Level 1 Knowledge Workers are the “rank and file” of the knowledge age. Millions of Level 1 Knowledge Workers are employed in organizations all over the world, operating information systems, using knowledge and dealing face-to-face with internal and external customers.

On the other hand, there is also a downside to this trend.

As the knowledge and information systems become increasingly sophisticated, they take over more and more of the left brain repetitive, systematic, computational work that many Level 1 Knowledge Workerscurrently do.

Therefore if your work involves this type of work, then chances are that – sooner or later – it will be automated and eliminated. This trend suggests two major strategies for Level 1 Knowledge Workers.

The first is to commit to lifelong learning to stay ahead of the game. By continually upgrading your knowledge you will learn new ways you can contribute to your organization, and also move towards becoming a Level 2 Knowledge Worker.

One of they keys for Level 1 Knowledge Workers is to keep up-to-date with the computer systems used in your industry. It is not enough just to have basic computer skills, you must develop and maintain up-to-date expertise using the software that drives your.

The second major strategy suggested by the automation of left brain tasks is to look for work opportunities which use your right brain, creative, complex intuitive powers and judgments.

How good are your communication skills? Are you an effective team player? Do you have a clear set of goals and do you have a disciplined approach to achieving them?

When it comes to these interpersonal and intrapersonal aspects of work, employers need human beings, not computers, so these are areas that need continuous improvement.

Knowledge User, Knowledge Provider or Knowledge Creator?

Knowledge work can be broken down into three categories: Knowledge Use, Knowledge Provision and Knowledge Creation.

You seem to be a Knowledge User .

Again, this information has serious implications for how your career unfolds in the future.

Your FPYC Personal Profile continues below with your Knowledge Age Skills...

Authentic Direction ebook reader comment:
"This is powerful stuff, and is in my experience a first. Too many people in the community just do not know where they can make their best contribution, but this book shows the way into a bright future. A MUST for all who can read, from age 14 to 100 ranging from students to top executives.

- Andrew Young, Australia

5. Your Knowledge Age Skills

The Knowledge Age Skills are the six basic skills which all knowledge workers need to work with information and knowledge, and with the new structures that are now part and parcel of the New World of Work.

These are communication skills, team skills, adaptability skills, computer skills, business skills and learning skills.

You seem to be quite strong in most of the knowledge age skills.

1. Communication skills - your rating: Reasonable
In the industrial age, communication flowed from the top down. You took instructions from those above and passed them on to those below. These days hierarchies are much flatter requiring more communication between equals, rather than order giving and taking between people at different levels.

2. Team skills - your rating: Reasonable
Work in the knowledge age is often the result of collaboration between groups of people working towards a common goal. Self-managing teams charged with the responsibility for certain outcomes are increasingly common. This is in stark contrast to the production-line model of the industrial age.

3. Adaptability skills - your rating: Room for improvement
One of the defining features of the workplace in the knowledge age is change. Being able to adapt quickly from one situation to the next is therefore a core requirement of knowledge workers – something your industrial age counterparts had to give little consideration.

4. Computer skills - your rating: Strong
The driving technological force of the knowledge age, the computer, is a critical aspect of the majority of knowledge work. Basic computer skills are now as fundamental as basic literacy skills were in the industrial age.

5. Business skills - your rating: Strong
It is much more important in the new economy to have a clear idea of your own contribution to the bottomline success of your organization. This helps secure both your position and the company’s in these turbulent times. This is quite different to the industrial age, when all you needed to worry about was completing your narrow range of tasks.

6. Learning skills - your rating: Strong
New knowledge, products and processes are being generated at such a rate these days that we all need to learn at a fast pace just to keep up-to-date. Gone are the days where you could simply undertake training after leaving school that would see you right throughout your career.

Because these skills are basic requirements of work in the knowledge age, you should look to improve in any areas that aren’t listed above as “Strong”.

A full discussion of your Knowledge Age Skills is included in "Future Proof Your Career" a free personalized ebook that you will receive download instructions for within the next couple of days.

I think I'm a phidophile?! (HOW DO YOU SPELL THAT?) I really really love kids.. But kids sometimes stare at mi? LOL. Maybe cos I look really striking? Like today.. I put on my red skinnys, wore a beanie and shades. This kid kept looking at mi. haha!
Anw, because I was watching Hello Baby Season 3 with T-ara, I got to know these super adorable trio, called Moon Brothers! LOL!
But look, these are photos of the Moon Brothers and they are really super cute! =D

Moon Mason...

Moon Mavin...

Moon Maden...

Aint they like super duper adorable? LOL! Anyway, they recently guest-ed on 2PM show.. so you can watch them in action here! =D

Want to see more photos of the kids? hahaha.. Moon Brothers FB Page =D Alrighty, enough of spamming la. haha.

Ok! So I'm wondering if this Vita500 drink is really that fantastic.. It's time to try. The last time I saw it, I was on my OWaVW diet.. And when I finished the diet, the store that I last saw it at, they ran out of it! Oh well... I will keep a lookout for it though. If you see it anywhere, let me know. It should look like this?

Or like this?

Happened to chance upon their Vita500 song jingle. I can't believe I listened to it 10 times because I watched all of the below vids. LOL!

HAHA.. See what I meant? Random, I know...

Vita500,

I must be crazy? I finished a 16-ep drama in two days. Must be too much time to spare? But, loads to learn from this drama. It's really good! Makes me want a K pendant. LOL.

I might just get it. We'll see. =P

So much meaning... I wouldn't have been here doing what I'm doing if not for God and my parents for their sacrificial and unconditional love. I wouldn't have been a healthy baby if not for the fact that they took special care of me since birth. From a mere 2+kg, 40cm baby to a 60+kg, 174cm adult. That's a lot of time, effort and love taken. Love your parents.. Even if they're imperfect.. 'Cos no one is perfect. Guess what? They're first time being parents anyway. We will always be first time being parents. And, who doesn't make mistakes when they do things for the first time? =D

Celebrate life,

I'm so excited about the vision/dream that I have and though I know and think that it might take a while (actually a long time) to come to past. I am going to keep on believing. I thank God for that vision and dream that He's impressed in my heart. No, it hasn't really changed, because the concept is still there. I would say it's grown BIGGER and BETTER. =D

A facility (a place, a school) where professional pool training will be available.. There will be professional singing, dance, drum, keyboard, guitar lessons provided. Not only will youths be able to be musically trained, they will be given chances to do emceeing, and learn how to make powerful presentations. Not just that, there will be classes to help youths with their studies as well. Not only to do well in music, but also to do well in school. I would say the next generation kids will be living a somewhat stressful life with my kind of vision. Ultimately, I hope to groom young children, youths and even adults to do what they always wanted to do but maybe situations or circumstances don't allow it. I also hope to be able to give out scholarships to help them achieve their dreams. I hope to be the next SM Entertainment.. But a better one. =) I foresee.. That would take time and MONEY. haha. time to start networking and working for my vision.

Just had a wonderful wonderful lunch with D. hahah. "Who doesn't feel better after having lunch with D?"-VL. HAHA! man, first sign of miss VL. She's technically half the globe away from us.. =/ Oh well, It's probably reaching 6am over there now. haha. So blessed and so many things to take away from lunch today! I think I need to keep reminding myself that I have stuff I can bless people with. And I need to start stepping out to do so. Must learn to be less popular now. HAHAHA. I dowan to be a dead sea anymore. =D I'm a happy person!

Been brooding about way too much stuff lately. I guess I got a bit discouraged seeing peers around me finding jobs that they seemingly seem to enjoy. HAHA.. cos I'm not really entirely sure if they're enjoying what they do. haha. So you working people and friends of mine, let me know if you're enjoying what you do? =P You know who you are. haha.

What options do I have? PLENTY! I just need to go for the RIGHT one. =P Alright, so analyst or teacher? If analyst, which industry? If teacher, MOE or Private Education? My parents feel that I should go into teaching.. STABLE mahs. Benefits too. I think I need to choose ONE like soon. But at the moment, I've been spamming resumes for Analyst role. OK la, maybe only 5?

So? HAHA. As much as I'm opened to options.. NOW, perhaps is not the time to go for my vision/dream? Some vision/dream need to die so that God can resurrect them. =D It is going to be in my heart, but I'm going to trust God to help me achieve it. I like what D was sharing what PK said.. That the greater the dream, the greater the resistance. LAW of PHYSICS mahs.. Newton's law.. ahha.. For every force, there is an equal opposing force. That's why you're standing rooted on the ground now. =D

I know it's funny how I started off by saying how excited I am to have a vision of what I will do in future only to end off by saying I'm not doing anything very related to it. HAHA. I find myself funny too. But that seems like it somehow. D calls my vision/dream mini-scape. LOL. I'm encouraged.. really.. Time to make a decision and not regret it.

One thing I realised through thinking through and receiving my vision/dream.. THAT I must be willing to step out and get exposed... I may fail, but I need to trust God and His heart. =) Yes, that's what's I'm going to do. =D What may seem like a failure to others is a learning opportunity/lesson for the person who seemingly failed. =D

"Life is lived forward but understood backwards." - D

HAHAHAHA! So... Being inspired by various ones who Meat fast, I decided to do some adjustments to my drinks diet. LOL! So I decided to start this Only Water and Vitamin Water (OWaVW) fast for the month of August. AND... I actually survived! Just that on one day, I actually was so thirsty, I forgot that I was on that fast for a moment and drank ribena? LOL! Well, I must say it's not been easy.. I remembered the first few days going to places like McDonalds ordering meal, but asking for Ice Water. Evian Mineral Water is so not nice.. LOL!

Going to places like Starbucks, but only can ask for ice water. Going to restaurants and drinking ice water. Going to coffeeshops and spending 30cents on a cup of ice water. Being "laughed at" by my parents 'cos they think that I'm never going to make it. But guess what, dad and mom... I made it! =P

WOW! I must say this fast taught me something. That it is never easy to go on a fast.. And it's never convenient to go for a fast. If it is convenient, then I dare say... Perhaps it's not a fast. =) During this 30 days, many times I prayed.. "OH GOD... I'm so sleepy... Keep me awake..." Especially because I have no caffeine intake? BUT, I'm still surprised I managed to stay awake through many occasions. HEHE.

To conclude... I think I've made it such a habit to always drink water now more than ever. 2nd day since I finished the fast and I'm still not getting used to starbucks drinks? For two days, I've been at Starbucks. I ordered Green Tea Frappe and I found it too dry/sweet. I ordered Chai Tea Latte and though I love the spice, etc. I still find it sweet. Ahhh.. My tastebuds have changed.. Water is now my best friend. Hopefully I won't drown in water. LOL! On a side note, I need to learn how to swim...

Water FTW,
